Business Development Manager

Job Introduction

We are Eden Futures, and we deliver exceptional support services for people aged 18 and over who have learning disabilities, autism, mental ill health and associated complex needs.

We are looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join and take on a pivotal role in our Service Development Team. This role is primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Service Development with achieving the organisation’s organic growth plans. The focus of the role will be on the development of demand led new business opportunities created through relationships with key stakeholders such as Local Authorities and ICB’s. 

As this role is remote based there will be a requirement to travel across different counties within England depending on the needs of the business.

Successful candidates will be required to have an Enhanced DBS check prior to commencing employment.

Main Responsibility

  • The development and management of key stakeholder relationships including but not limited to Local Authorities, ICB’s, Developers, Funders and Housing Associations.
  • Sourcing and reviewing potential new sites for development on a needs led basis, and to provide demographic and commissioner needs analysis on these.
  • Coordination and input into documentation for the delivery of any new development including Commissioner Support, project plans, specifications and assist in the development of Service Level Agreements and coordinate this with the wider business.
  • Assist in the Project Management of any new developments up until opening providing clear support to the Service Development Team, Operational Colleagues, and the wider business.
  • Support with central marketing activities including attending conferences and the creation of brochures.
  • Present and prepare reports and updates on new business opportunities for the Senior Management Team at Eden.
  • Be a member of the organisation’s internal Development Board, feeding back on current pipelines and potential opportunities that match the organisation’s strategic plan.
  • Support the Service Development Team with tendering activities as required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Full Driving licence and Car with Business Insurance (Essential)
  • Experience of Working in Social Care in services for those with Learning Disabilities, Autism or Mental Health Needs. 
  • Experience of developing new Supported Living Services and the project management of their development.
  • Proven Track record of increasing revenue through the generation of leads and new business.
  • Experience managing and developing relationships with Key Stakeholders such as Local Authorities and ICB’s.
  • Experience liaising and coordinating with all levels including CEO, Head of Service, and others.
  • Experience preparing reports for Senior Management Level and presenting these.
  • Excellent Communication, Presentation, Organisation and Project Management Skills
  • The ability to work to tight timescales, and work effectively under pressure.
